The Realm of Innovation
Described from the perspective of The Founder: “I stood alone in the middle of a field. Blades of grass caressed my legs ever-so-gently, causing itchiness to ensue. I looked around; a mountain range could be seen in the distance in one direction, however when I turned my head to look the other way, I was met with a view of near endless water. The blue of the sea reflected that of the sky, and I was left staring at the beauty of the repetitive crashing of the water against the rocky shore.”
The Mortal Realm is the sole realm of humans and other mortal creatures. Monitored by the Akabane Clan- who the Humans refer to as “The Holy Armorers”- the Mortals were forbidden from being interacted with as a part of The Founder’s law. This was done for one reason and one reason alone, they are able to die due to their inability to use magic proficiently. As a result of this lack thereof, the magic power that is prevalent in most of the other realms (Minus Black Haven) is not as available here.
This is due in part to the magic physically crystalizing, and condensing into the ore known as Vitalastonite. This ore is hyper-dense in magic, and is the primary vehicle in which Royals are able to resurrect themselves from The Slumbering following fatal injuries. This makes The Akabane Clan exceedingly powerful and influential, as they oversee the means and production of the most valuable ore to the Ascended society.
But where Mortals lack in power, they make it up with ingenuity. Mortals are blessed with astronomical intellect, and as a result they are able to overcome the hurdles of their bodies, and harness the power of Vitalastonite through their engineering.
This industrialization makes the Humans dangerous beyond measure, and has attracted the attention of Damien Olmrun, and the Black Angel- Fear.
Through their intervention, the Humans were united and organized into The Morrow Empire, whose sole goal is to push the boundaries of the human innovation and search for ways to permanently kill Royals.
A map of the Morrowsie Empire is in the works.
